Inspired by Real Events
The SUGA Warrior Bounty game is based on heartbreaking realities in parts of Nigeria where insurgency and lawlessness have held communities hostage for decades. In some regions, entire villages are under siege by armed militia groups. Families must pay “taxes” to access their ancestral farmlands. Even worse, children are kidnapped, drugged, and turned into fighters, stripped of their identity and future.
This is the reality that inspired the story of Jojo, a young boy whose life was shattered by insurgents. Taken from his village while playing football with his friends, Jojo was forced into a world of violence, eventually made to fight against his own people. In a moment of resistance, he breaks free, igniting a powerful transformation.
From Captive to Warrior
Jojo’s story is one of pain, but also of hope. After escaping, he unites with his childhood friends (fellow captives), and together they become the SUGA Warriors, inspired by the legendary defenders of the Berom tribe in Plateau State.
Clad in mystical red dust from a sacred rock, the warriors set out on a mission: to rescue the thousands of children still trapped in captivity, and to restore peace to their homeland.
But Jojo is not alone in this battle. Danja, the gang leader who lost his younger brother Mutuwa during Jojo’s escape, has vowed revenge. He sends deadly bounty hunters to hunt down Jojo and his allies.

In SUGA Warrior Bounty, you step into Jojo’s shoes. A 2D side-scroller packed with fast-paced action and powerful storytelling, the game challenges you to:

Rescue innocent children along the way, each one bringing you closer to your mission’s goal.
Navigate hostile environments inspired by real-world conflict zones in Northern and Central Nigeria.
Unleash mystical powers drawn from the ancient warrior traditions of the Berom tribe.
But most importantly, every battle you win in-game echoes the real-life battle Nurture the Children fights daily: the fight to give children a future free from fear and hunger.
Play with Purpose
The SUGA Warrior Bounty game is one of two exciting new releases from NTC. It follows the launch of Fruit Munch, a fun Match-3 game based on our Community Food Banks. While Fruit Munch highlights the joy of providing nutrition to vulnerable families, SUGA Warrior Bounty tells the darker, but equally important, story of our fight for child protection and rehabilitation.
Both games are built around a simple idea: Play can create change.
Proceeds from downloads and in-game support go directly toward funding our mission, including food programmes, trauma support, and rescue efforts for children affected by poverty and conflict.
