Medical Outreach Programs
We need your help to do more.
Over 150,000 displaced people received medical intervention from NTC last year.
Our medical outreach teams examine and improve the health of desperate families living in camps for internally displaced people (IDP’s) across Plateau State in Nigeria.
NTC helped over 150,000 displaced people, who are fleeing violence and killing at the hands of Boko Haram, and groups of tribal herdsmen.
It is still very dangerous, sometimes impossible, for them to return home. With our support, these people are surviving deplorable camp living conditions, while they wait to be re-settled across the country.
NTC provides medicine assessments
Our medical teams examine children and adults for illness and disease, working with health agencies to ensure the correct medicines are available to treat them. Pregnant women and children, for example, require specific anti-malarial treatment.
Our support helps prevent sudden outbreaks of disease, saving vital camp resources to improve general living standards.
